The ones who got away....High Tower & Pretty Boy

I just put Cams out last week along with some mineral, buck jam, and added corn today.

They seemed to be most interested in the Buck Jam and less on the mineral under the Buck Jam (still too early to be interested I guess).

I am glad to see two hit list bucks still on the farm. High Tower, was the one that got away. (Got his name for his LONG browtines) I put him in the mid 140's, had him at 10 yards, but he caught my shadow as I tried to draw on him on Oct. 29th around 9:00AM. Never saw him again this past season.

Pretty Boy, I never even saw him once after late August trail cam pictures. He was a very nice 10pt, but without a straight on shot, he looks like he broke off his left G2. He is a buck pushing 160.

I will update this post weekly as I check the cams. I thought it would be fun for us all to take stock of those who are around now after the season. Also, waiting to seem them start shedding their racks. Off the 200+ pictures I got from spike bucks to the bigger guys only two were half racks, and nothing bigger than 125-130 range.

I would be ecstatic to get those pics. You are gonna have giants next year!!!

Time will tell, I am just excited to see that I am holding some young bucks as well.

I have a lot of things planned to improve the management of the deer on our farm this year, can't wait to see what the spring and summer bring.
