If you haven't seen it or done it yet, the earth's gravitational pull (or something like that) is just right for some unusual balancing creativity. The kids love it! It won't last long so get out the eggs, brooms, or whatever you think of and check it out!!!!!!:way:

I swear it is true. I have some pictures of me when I was about 12 years old balancing eggs. I don't know how often it comes around but the pic above was taken tonight. My sister said it was all over facebook the past few days so we gave it a try. It takes a little patience and steady hands but it can be done!
 
Its true, my buddies brother was all hot and bothered when he balanced a broom the other night.
 
I am about the biggest skeptic on this site, but my wife balanced a broom the other night. She balanced the broom north to south/south to north and east to west/west to east.

Of course it was Friday night and I had observed my usual Friday night ritual sans cat in a trap so she coulda rigged it and I wouldn't have known.

I wonder if it makes a difference if the broom has a metal or wood handle?

I had to Google it so see what all the fuss was. You are right, Cooter. Its a matter of simple physics and should be able to be done any time. Of course, when no one was looking I tried...EPIC FAIL!!!

haha.. A few nights ago when facebook blew up with the broom posts, I put this pic up because I like being a smart @$$... had a lot of comments and "likes"... they say it is because of the Spring Equinox, however, a lot of people were saying you can stand eggs and a broom actually all year. still pretty neat though

I wish it was the earths gravitational pull messed up then i could blame falling over drunk not on the booze but the solar flare!
