I have been hunting the same ground for 6 years now, and every year it has been clean 8 and 9 points, with no junk what so ever. Now this year, I have more tens and elevens, trashy deer, spilts, you name it. And for the first time ever, I got a big drop tine buck too...And I know this thread is pointless without pics, but my main question is, why the sudden change?? Last year everything was clean 8-9s for my up and comers, and then this year everything just grew spits and junk...weird in my mind

Mild winter. Bucks are gonna be healthier than ever and growing to their full potential. They didnt have to work hard to survive all winter and even with the dry spell this year they seem to be doing great. Im getting alot of slits and trash too.
