Hey, I can't remember if I posted this before or not but couple more folks asking me about it. FREE!!!! SUPER EASY TOO!!!! Say you wanna measure food plots, acre amounts, WHATEVER, a few dots and boom- got your measurement on bottom. I've measured my shed that's 2,400 sq feet and it was even right on with that! But obviously most are measuring fields- you can do rounded parts of field, measure around fingers of trees, etc. Aerials are very detailed & updated yearly. I literally can see deer in my food plot and I'm not joking!!! Play around, free & easy....

Save it in your favorites. Click on "Sattellite" tab after you find your location on map, then rock & roll.
 
Last year it even became better for me because I could zoom in more than previous years. Nice tool to use for daydreaming in winter. You probably should bump it up to the top every once and awhile for people that haven't seen it.
 
Look at the Leo's Boone & Crocket rectacles, they are simple and very effective out to about 500 yds. In my opinion they are hard to beat. I personally am not a fan of the 50 's, I don't think they are worth the extra weight and bulk, but that's just me.

Am I the only idiot that cant figure this out? I zoom in, set some markers, then what? It says it will compute the area but nothing happens. Gives me the option to delete or clear markers. Thats it. Am I supposed to click on something else? I feel worthless.

Take a look at the bottom of your page......it should be there;also, check to make sure you have brought the points to closure.
 
Nothing at the bottom except links to other google map apps. There are some notes above that, but otherwise nothing.

Maybe a browser issue...took me a minute or two to find it as well, but there's a small series of numbers right at the bottom of the pic that give the area in various units. Looks like the new plot will be right at an acre. Really cool and useful site Sligh...thanks for posting it :way:
