Be carefull Bonker

My wife was on her evening walk a few days ago. She stopped to talk a neighbor who made it a point to say one of their cats got out and they hoped the cat comes back. She saw the neighbor again yesterday and the cat is once again domesticated. Guess I can stand down to EFFDEFCON 4 now.

It was a foster cat she was supposed to be looking after...

I don't care what it was. All the more reason not to let it out to run around. People can't just send animals out to run free and expect nothing to happen. Take responsibility. That said, Posting it was also foolish.

Foolish why? 'Cause some freakin' lovers got upset? Screw those people. There are real issues that need protested. Stop wasting time on animals rights.

It's foolish because there is nothing to gain from posting a picture of a cat with an arrow going through its head on social media. I'll be the first to admit that I have shot a cat before but to go out of my way to post it onto social media is neither necessary or a good idea. It does not shed any good light on the sport of bow hunting that we care about. Why go out of our way to give people who do not know much about hunting a bad taste in their mouth about bow hunters?

That being said, I do agree that there are much bigger issues in this world. Our country is getting soft and people get offended way to easily. But I do not think it is necessary to intentionally add fuel to the fire.

I can appreciate the points you've made but what she did benefits outdoorsman. She was proud of it and she doesn't need to be shamed for it. We don't need to be timid about it either. Part if the reason people get upset by things like this is because they've been given incorrect information or their emotions are getting the best of them. A lot of people missed the fact that an educated person trained to care for animals knew this to be a good thing for the environment.

She was taking care of it. She put it outside and shot the cat.
