i would not spray Simizine not even sure that is on label for beans i dont think it is. If it was me i would use 16-18 oz of Metochlor which is Dual. Lots of other pre that can be used many will have a long setback to plant the next crop .

One thing in favor of chemical over fire is burning up all the nests and nesting cover. I burn a 1000+ acres a year and normally am done by now but still have some to go it sucks how many turkey and pheasant nests we have found recently.

The 261 is hard to beat for a small saw as others have said. I have 3 of them no problems so far. I switched mine to 3/8 sprockets and chains which slows it slightly but ups the torque. I only do it so its the same as all the big saws.

Its not that hard to figure out it is simply age. Today there are to many tool to focus the pressure on the highest quality bucks. If the exact age was known on the bucks you mentioned i would bet they were 6 year old + . Not many make it now

The problem is once acres are converted to income producing acres they will never go back to idle. Land today simply costs to much. Acres that get cleaned up and farmed long enough then go to CRP will most likely go back into production of some kind unless crop insurance is also completely changed.
