Got out for the first time this weekend down in southern Iowa. My father-in-law was elevator manager in Ringsted for years. We fed our golden retriever Golden Sun Hi-Pro and had orange dog bowls, feed scoop, and all kinds of sweat shirts, mugs, knives, caps, etc. Don't think I have any of it left.

Filled my 4th season tag just after 6:00 pm last Friday. Had lots of gobbling on my morning setups but birds seemed to always move off in the wrong direction. Finally did a three-hour sit in a blind in a field near a suspected roosting area and had four two-year-old birds come in to decoy set.

Tried it myself for the first time this weekend. In the morning, I was 3-24 with my 12 gauge 870. Switched to the 16 gauge Ithaca 37 in the afternoon and went 5-23. The old Featherlight helped me get on em quicker. We cooked 'em up just like yours and I've got to say, it's the best wild game...
