    Big rains last night

Major hail and flooding? How much rain over there?

CRP Programs- Worth it? Which ones?

Echo what Skip said above. Not that I am made of money but if the pros and cons end up relatively even biodiversity and doing my part to help pollinators, birds and ecosystem in general tips the scales to CRP even if the money is a little less than CR. These heavy rains in my area it makes me...

    Fox, straight tail, not bushy

Summer coat. It does look longer than normal but I’d bet the tail would look more normal in the winter.

    Missouri Survey on Non-Resident Hunting

That is the way I understand it also as a NRLO. Fees are going way up the way understand it for NR tags. I’m expecting NRLO to have to buy two tags which will significantly likely double the cost if in line with NR turkey licenses this spring.

    2026 fawns

Found one over the weekend and saw three more today. All different spots. One out in a short unmowed hay field this morning with the doe. SWIA/NWMO.

    Missouri Survey on Non-Resident Hunting

Everything I have followed there has been no final decision on the draw discussion.

    Missouri Survey on Non-Resident Hunting

That is a hilarious comment. Wanting more deer killed has zero to do with these proposed changes. I have talked to MO MDC from local agents to the state biologist and every one stated that these changes that are proposed will likely reduce harvest numbers. But the access on public and hoping...

    Iowa Property Tax Reform

My Iowa taxes are 8x as high as my MO ag land. But residential compared to ag land is a joke in Iowa. 80 acre farm worth $500k taxes be $1600. $500K house would be $6750. If many people would realize this and pay attention there would be an uproar or should be. And it just continues to go...

Revocable vs Irrevocable, irrevocable does shelter it.

Not saying for or against but I do see a bit of hypocrisy to it. The same people that want to shelter their assets and not pay a dime in taxes have no problem having a hand out for crop insurance subsidies or Medicare if nursing homes are needed later in life. Yet they criticize food stamps and...

I’ll get hated on for this comment and I am guessing this probably isn’t why he says trusts are suspicious but the trusts are 100% scheme and devise to pass the value on to heirs and side step paying for assisted living and nursing homes through Medicaid rather than running through the...

    Honey Locust Trees & Tires

Thorns are going to be a problem unless you idle or drop the trees and fire. A guy near me did have an excavator come in with a tree saw to knock down locusts in a pasture but someone would need to treat the stumps behind it to keep from having sprouts then fire in a year or so to burn through...

Anyone paid attention to this in farm bill

Agreed that they should be released and by not releasing continues to give conspiracy theorists, right or wrong, an argument. But those supporting Biden and criticizing Trump for the same level of action on Epstein are grasping for straws. At least now we are working on economy, terrorism...

    Missouri Survey on Non-Resident Hunting

I’m just saying IDC if the rules changed or not. The changes were needed and people were taking advantage of it. Not to mention how many people were buying a buck tag through an outfitter and outfitted hunt carrying a NR doe license and party hunting. When changes are needed they need to happen.

    Missouri Survey on Non-Resident Hunting

Either way it is a change for the better for Iowa residents and that is what should matter. I own land and hunt on permission in MO. Am I complaining about the changes MO made to NR turkey tags or the LIKELY coming changes for NR deer tags, nope. I have to choose where I am a resident...
