My father in law is coming out of his CRP next spring and wanted to go into the "Tree CRP"... they are making him cut EVERY tree in the crp currently (all along the edges for the most part) but are being real big sticklers on it. Hes decided he will not be doing anything with them going forward...
Last I paid for my deer and antelope was $750 for each... havent mounted anything since, just boil the skulls now.
Had a local taxidermist to one of my work areas was offering "show quality" mounts for $1500, and then a "standard" mount for $500. His standard mounts looked like the ones that...
I’ve trapped heavily here the past couple years and have A LOT more nesting here and hatching out.
I think there were studies of roundup making eggs infertile?
I do think bobcats are killing lots of birds and nest raiders clean up the eggs/young…

Weren't the first couple of deer shows over in like Waterloo/Cedar Falls or something? I ask because my Grandpa has trophies from the shows when they were there, there was no "Classic" in Des Moines yet. My wife worked for the Classic for many years before TBI got involved- I never asked why-...
Its been awhile since I have been up to South Dakota, but I believe they allowed residents like 2 weeks of public lands first before non residents could hunt. Residents were mad because "non residents come up and shoot our deer before we get to hunt". I mean, of course if a non resident comes...
Mine got signed up by the previous owner- $72 an acre . He had no clue what he was going when he signed up stuff and really made a mess of my piece. Tempted to buy it out so I can enroll it differently but really not cost efficient.
