My Father’s Day card is deer themed this year! :)

    2,000 lbs feeders for sale

Selling these here for folks on IW at my cost. I got a semi & have extras. Made sense to take a full semi. I had them shipped from TX so this is with shipping & everything to my door (which I get a steal on these so passing on to u). I have 2 other brands…. One was way over $2k shipped & I...

    Oaks next to eachother

As many pics as u can keep posting helps. Don’t cut unless dormant BTW. If u cut any…. Only cut the ones that are growing horribly & unhealthy. Let the rest go. The pics above look great! I’d leave the rest for now unless one is totally funky. Here’s the key…. Pummel the junk around them...

Current State of the Land Market

Great stuff. Region or county seems to change things. What I’m seeing is this: “top notch” anything - hunting or tillable…. Very little for sale & sells fast & high. As u go down in quality …. How fast it sells and price goes with it. To the other end: low quality, needs lot of work, etc-...

    Earth Ponds

This was my first time trying. Took maybe 45 mins. Super easy. Steep & all clay. It’s super clean to this day. It has some clay color to it but when u look close- it’s super clean. It has all grass above it so it’s not like nasty stuff fills it. It might not look like it but this is pry a...

    Earth Ponds

I would use a rubber made over them. Way less $. I have water holes I’ve dug & different types of tubs. I personally like the ones I dig better. I make them all clay, deep & steep. I honestly don’t worry much about midges. They are clean & full of life (not sludge). & they hold...

    Best Box Blind

Diamond is newer so a lot of folks won’t have experience with em. I’m extremely impressed. I’ve also heard good things on grizzly but I haven’t tried one.

    Acorns to Oaks!

I did both chinkapin & dwarf chinkapin in tubes. Was a bit concerned about DCO but both did just fine. This is a standard chinkapin on its 3rd growing season.

Mineral mix for tick control on wildlife?

I personally have no issue. I run granular garlic. For ABOVE where it says they wouldn’t touch it…. 1) you can get encapsulated garlic where you can’t smell or taste it. One example, I think Analogics has encapsulated garlic in their pellets. I’m certain there’s plenty of ways to find it. I...

CRP Programs- Worth it? Which ones?

My next round of CRP…. I got “one last go” in me!! I’m gonna do a 30 acre patch in shrub & tree planting CRP. Doing this on farm with very little cover & I want to create a place where deer live. I think it can be (2) 15 year contracts. Maybe next farm bill it’ll be different. I think...

    2-4D Amine on Enlist beans?

I know some guys that accidentally sprayed a lower rate of LV6 on enlist & had no issues. Not labeled or legal but that was their feedback on their mistake. I suspect if a guy accidentally sprayed some super high rate it would hurt or kill them. I’ve never heard of anyone using amine on beans...

Mineral mix for tick control on wildlife?

Both. I usually have them in spots I don’t hunt near. Which I understand isn’t ideal on some farms/scenarios. Others I’ll put in tubs with lil drain holes that are easy to clean up or cover up others. Lots of ways & not that big of deal to clean up IMO.

CRP Programs- Worth it? Which ones?

some things folks might not think of when they lean towards NOT doing CRP….. like Windlookers view of Government…. I don’t disagree with that sentiment & Gov does suck at a lot of things & CRP can have headaches. But…. Don’t think farming doesn’t have major headaches & even major costs...

    Fox, straight tail, not bushy

Fox mated with a cougar. I wish we had more fox here. So cool. Coyotes wiped most of them out.
