Seeing all sorts of rut activity. Had 15 does and 3 nice bucks, shooters to some in a field last night, with a big 12.. they would chase around but never could lock a doe down. the big buck really didn't do much but push the other bucks around.
I hunt a lot of farms where cows are present.. If i had a choice id hunt where their arent cows but i still do sit in these cow areas durning rut because deer run like crazy. Seen many trophy bucks come out of draws that have timber all around them to feed in fields next to the cows.. but have...
You can have them out year round if you wish, just can't hunt over it or around that area. Every DNR officer will interrupt the law different on how far away you need to be. Best bet is to call up your local officer for your area you have these feeders at and see what he believes the distance...
Many nights when I hunt I'll see over 40 deer a night... Many would think who in the world could see 40 deer when "I'm" not seeing deer.. well in many parts of Iowa the deer numbers are way out of control. Not saying I see many bucks though, always Doe's which blows
This past Thursday night I would of said rut had opened up over night with seeing so many bucks chasing Doe's hard and non stop but since then we haven't seen much. Glad I shot a mature buck that night.
Mine was early muzzle and it took around 3-4 months to get it back. Looks great, along with the cheapest I have seen around. I think he limits the amount of deer he does to around 100 deer so he can have a fast turn around for people. I would recommend the guy who did mine to anyone. I...
I bought the McKenzie ShotBlocker Bowhunter Target on sale at scheels last year and love it! I use to use a Black Hole and it was good but didnt last that long. i would recommend a McKenzie target to anyone! good luck
I can't agree more with Muddy on Scheels customer service. I have taken several things back and they haven't really ever gave me a problem at all. Even took a muzzleloader back a year later after the dipped barrel on a T/C triumph had started to chip off after being shot 10 times. I don't...
My brother shot a buck 2 years ago in the gut, as it was perviously said a "mid body Gut shot and it latterly torn him to pieces inside. he only went 60 yards and bedding down and took bout a hour or so to finally lose enough blood to die but we did get the buck and is now on our wall. good luck...
saw over 200 deer tonight within corn fields, had deer on me from 5 o clock till dark. seen a very nice buck chasing and picking off Does as well as 2 other nice bucks just hanging out by themselves. things seem to be really heating up. Couldn't believe all the Does i seen chasing each other...
As everyone has said i'd go with the Big game. We own over 10 of them and they work great for the money. i can't spend a lot on stands just for the fact of someone possible taking them. Get a big game stand and buy a lot better harness that will provide comfort and safety. the ones the come...
We run 3 bushnells new cameras, i love the daytime pictures but it seems to lack quality at night. maybe I'm just used to my Moult D-40 great flash pictures at night. I was planning on buying a few more of the new Bushnells but with the IR at night not being that great in a few pictures it has...
