For those that want to help & the time arises to walk the walk vs just talk…. This is it. I’d crawl over broken glass to go but I’m taking my first vacation in 5+ years to Florida
2 horrible bills, subcommittee meeting on Thursday. I’d crawl over broken glass to go. If u or know anyone that can go with basic communication skills & understanding of hunting - critical!! Like 3 bullet points & beyond easy!!! This might take 60 seconds & could be as simple as “this who I am. This why I oppose”. Literally they want to hear from HUNTERS as they have no clue about these issues. If you know something about HUNTING & if you can have a conversation for 60 seconds- YOU will make a HUGE difference & well stop these.

One is year round deprecation tags for basically anyone who wants em. KILL ALL THE DEER- ANYTIME, brought to you by Farm Bureau!!! Crazy!!!!
& other is NR tags for 40 acres or more taken from regular NR pool, they want to pass to step stone to flood gates wide open.

One is 8 am one for NR tags & other is 12pm for kill em all anytime tags.
I got bullet points for both! Easy!!! Need dudes who can give 30 mins around each of these meetings to talk for like 1 minute. That’s it!!! Small ask, action will absolutely win this. Need it!!! I got all details & I’ll make this beyond easy!!!! Iowa & resource thanks you!!

Thanks fellas!! I can't make it but I did send emails tonight and already got one response.

Oh, and to all you "All Dems are the devil" people, Scholten is a democrat. Just because you don't agree with a lot, doesn't mean you can't have a conversation and you may even agree on a few things. Your Iowa republican legislators are generally in bed with the Farm Bureau which is a main driver behind a lot of these bad bills.

these bad bills are sponsored by republicans. Every one of em. Dems oppose them all. State politics is very different than federal. On same token - we need & will get some good republicans to reject this madness.

WITH ABOVE BILLS…. Farm Bureau is behind “kill em all, all year round” & will use, lobby & control a few politicians to try to get this through. We will beat farm bureau if we show up. “Kill all the deer” - our harvest is in HALF & trending lower. 2 years of record ehd wipe outs. A depredation tag system already in place. Walk-in land incentived for farmers. A list with CO’s of guys willing to shoot does only that never gets met. Guys begging for land to hunt. & farm bureau that won’t take all these existing programs & broadcast them to their members. They just push at the capital to ruin the whole state based on a handful of angry farmers that just wanna complain & wont/don’t use the tools already in place to solve a very easy to fix issue if they even have one!!!!

I’m going to see if I can get out of work tomorrow or not. Got a few appointments I’m hoping I can switch (the guys are deer hunters, heck they might want to ride along) If I can- I will gladly make the 3 hour trip.

Being a hunter & Caring about resource, other hunters, our economy for outdoors, getting kids into hunting are all HUGE starters & impactors to start with to introduce self. If you own land or farm or grow crops on your land, that’s a HUGE bonus for you to be able to state. Literally it’s a 10-15 second intro… “my name is Johnny, I own land where crops are grown & my livelihood depends on it. My experience is ____. I oppose this for these reasons… _______. ______. ______ “. Being YOU & being sincere is all that matters. There’s no polished way you need to come across. This meeting could very well be attended by a rough speaking angry farmer that will spew some nonsense & come across abrasive. So, a sincere respectful & thought out points from those that actually understand deer & hunting & management go a long way!!! Everyone else in that room will overwhelmingly be non-hunters & have zero knowledge about the realities of deer management. Having hunters there is something THEY WANT!!!! They are asking for hunters to be there as that voice has been minimal historically (we really fixed this last few years). So understand - they really want to hear from you!!!!

IF YOU CANT MAKE IT…. Please write emails to all members on both subcommittee meetings!!!!

Those that can’t make it, email in to these folks!!!!

Did you just email a few or is there a way to send to all? With 100 of them thats a lot of copy & paste a bunch of email address. Is there a way to somehow click all or something?

So what exactly is the count of who will 100% make it?

I have a busy schedule tomorrow but will go if need to and want to make sure it is covered....

If you know you will be there could you please respond tho this.

Thanks in advance

I’ve been in contact with Phil the lobbyist for Iowa Sportsman’s Club. I will be at the Capital at 7:45am to be involved with both bills 8am and noon.
