Like some other that have posted here, I have an unlimited supply of SO on my place. As has also been previously stated, so many that they’re borderline “invasive”. Id be happy to gather some acorns this fall assuming we get a crop. Should…last year the mast production on my farm was nil.

Excellent perspective. I tend very much to be a “bottom line” guy. Bottom line here is. I either need to do exactly as you are doing and learn to “let go” a little. Or, I need to sell the farm and move on. Might improve my situation, might not…no guarantees that after a move the neighborhood is...
Yes. Will work. That said, the deer absolutely hammer my tanks. There were times this summer/fall where I was adding another 100 or more gallons to my 300 gal tanks every 10 days.
