UCR's
Where can I get some of those, they look great. I'd love to get rid of those buckles!
How do you like your GT500? Just ordered one for myself, can't wait.
Swisher
Good info on the mower. I already have a flat tire and was looking at the option to fill them so they are solid. I was until I found out it's about 60 bucks per tire. Slime will do just fine.
Sedge and Carp
I've enlisted Kellon to plant soy beans in a week or so. Don't want to tire him by pulling sedge.
I keep hearing about the carp but never get an invite. Sounds like you guys are having a blast.
Sedges it is
It appears my problem is Yellow Nutsedge (based on picture).
Sligh1, I Read through the clethodim label and there are recommended grass heights at which to spray. Mine was over knee high and pretty thick which makes it kind of tough to saturate with my atv sprayer.
Now that...
I'm using 12-14 ounces of Clethodim and 32 ounces of crop oil in 25 gallons of water. I use the entire tank on approx 1 acre. I'm killing some of the grass but other grass continues to grow. Do I need to use more Clethodim, or do something different?
I did mow everything down to 6 inches or...
I've had mixed results with PB, toms hanging up and acting nervous. Probably 2 year old birds but i'd still take them. I picked up a Jake mobile and added a jake fan to it. First morning, nice tom down! I think for the most part, PB is in retirement.
I just called the local Heartland Coop in Indianola to purchase Select Max to clean up the grass in my clover plot. Only problem is they only sell it in 2.5 gallon containers for approx $140.00 a gallon or $350.00 total. Any one else looking for the same thing and would be interested in...
A upright tailfan with the backfeathers works great at times. A friend and I were hunting at Double K when Keith and Brooks first started to use them. Not sure who came up with the idea, but it works.
I'm planning on frost seeding some white clover this winter/early spring on an existing clover plot. I'd also like to add about 200 lbs of lime and the same of 6-24-24. The plot is approx 1 acre in size. When is the best time to apply the lime and fertilizer? Can I apply the same time as I...
I had a 450 honda and it was a little underpowered for food plotting. I traded it in 2 years ago for a Yamaha 660 Grizzly, awesome machine. I've heard great things about the newer 700 Grizzly also.
I established a new mineral lick next to a small 1/3 acre food plot (late planted soy beans, just coming up). I had 111 pictures on my homebrew at this location since July 4th. Need to increase the delay between pics!
I think I have the first buck's pic taken in January.
Pics of my Nebraska and South Dakota birds. Just filled 1 IA tag but don't have the pics off my sons camera yet.
A buddy and I hunted NE on Friday the 13th for a very short 1 day trip. A 36 yard shot stopped the tom within 10 feet or so. Luck was with me as I tagged the tom at 9:30 am.
Off...
I agree with the vote for Jackhammers. I've had great luck on Turkeys with them. I've used hammerheads before but prefer the Jackhammers due to the thicker and stronger blades. Jackhammers are also very easy to practice with as you can tie the blades down and shoot them.
