    Hammer time!

I've had permission to hunt this piece of land for 3 years now, but have kind of overlooked it. Couldn't really decide on a good set in the sparse wooded parcel. This year, I've lost access to a number of other properties so I've gone back to it. I managed to find good sign in one particular...

    DSM area meat locker

In my opinion, In't Veld is the better of the two lockers in Pella. I used to have a buddy take all my meat up to Edgewood Locker until I was turned on to In't Veld. I love their brats and sliced sandwich meat. Like Ulrich, they call it bologna too. Their hot sticks are solid too. I think...

    Uber Slob

That last fish is a nice slob. When I was fishing them hard I'd love the fall sucker rigs. I've had luck in the past casting and then keeping a sucker rig under the boat for the followers to hit.

    Treestand relief?

This just goes against everything I've been taught about scent control. I've heard countless people say to just piss off the stand, but will continue taking an old gatorade bottle to piss in.

    Gloves

I don't wear 'em unless it's below 30 or so. I prefer a muff with heat packs over gloves. When I do, I typically use Mechanix gloves for just about everything. They do have a leather palm with that leathery smell, but a little bit of baking soda takes that smell away just fine.

I'm not lazy, I'm not a dork BUT....

too good. I used to hunt a public land spot in wisconsin where I'd take my mountain bike 2 miles back down an old logging road. I like your thinking outside of the box. I agree on the video, I would like to see one too.

    Elk Hunting

There are no OTC deer tags in all of CO. Preference point only.

    Elk Hunting

Looks like the success rate for unit 68/681 is pretty poor for the public land tag... dunno about the private. With that in mind, get as far away from the public land and roads as you can. Go high and go rugged. Good luck.

    Bridge crossing??

I've often thought about doing this too. I say put a roof underlayment over the heavily stained boards; and then dirt or mulch over that. I would think the local deer would use it.

    Lake Michigan fishing near Niles???????

Call the local bait shops. They'll know the most respectable and trustworthy local guide services. That being said, if anyone is looking for charters on the Wisconsin side, I've got a great source out of Sturgeon Bay, Algoma, or Kewaunee... but the best fishing is out of Sturgeon Bay. And...
