    2025 CRP PAYMENTS

I’ve found that the FSA & NRCS make statements that are not always accurate . I call my buddy in Minnesota (he’s a top habitat guy PF/CRP guru) & he will give me the actual legal rule on various questions. I’m 90% sure you can still lease your land if it has CRP !

    What trees should I get?

If you plant a few Red Oaks they will never know the difference in 10 years … I’m not trying to get you in trouble . I’ve added a few hybrids to my CRP plans, they look like oaks in 5-10 years . They will probably visit the site one more time my guess ?m Otherwise just ask him if you can add...

    Osage orange trees

Southern Iowa, Northern Missouri have a advantage for deer hunters in that cover left untouched becomes a jungle in X amount of years. In Minnesota for example … you have to plant something, a lot of old pasture in your regions blows up with hedge, cedar, shingle oaks and more… all great cover...

    Orange Army

How about the snow in some areas ? Deep enough to slow down deer drives ? In Minnesota I went pheasant hunting and I could barely get through the cattails . Snow was waist deep in spots . Not a good start to the winter for wildlife !!
