^I looked into that at one point and if I remember right, LLC has to have it written in somewhere as to who qualifies for LO tags but maybe someone can chime in and correct me. I'd imagine it would be similar in a trust?
Where I'm hunting (south central), numbers are good but age and trophy quality is way down, worst I've seen since moving to Iowa. Where I live in SW IA, numbers are in the absolute tank. Will 0 antlerless tags and buck-only shotgun 1 help? Time will tell. I don't even bother hunting around home...

Most good taxidermists are a year, give or take a little depending on how they operate. Is this guy full time or is taxidermy just a side gig? That can change things too.
They say auctions are the true test of market conditions but sometimes there are extenuating circumstances. Do you know anything about the buyers? Are they neighbors, non residents, Chicago area?
Is that consistent or high with what you've seen prior to now? Good rec/combo ground has held steady. Those $/ac are nuts, but a totally different market.
Listened to the whole thing last night in the truck. My takeaways-
1. Pay that man whatever he wants. We have got to keep him here.
2. That was the most educated but also open minded way to hear someone talk about EHD vs. CWD
3. If only there were more "Iowas", people wouldn't have to wait 4-6...
Our PF chapter has had Truax and GP. The only downside to the Truax is that if anything really breaks (which happens on rentals..nothing parties like a rental...) there isn't anyone local to work on it like with a GP. We had to have it trucked back to Truax. Otherwise they are solid units.
