It is well worth the listen!
I firmly believe he saved crossbows from being in Iowa from the language/questions in the previous resident hunter survey. He mentioned it in the podcast but it was something along the lines of 95% of hunters were satisfied with current weapon choices. Having hard data to oppose those special interest groups (crossbows specifically) is vitally important.
We are blessed to have him as our state deer biologist.

Listened to the whole thing last night in the truck. My takeaways-
1. Pay that man whatever he wants. We have got to keep him here.
2. That was the most educated but also open minded way to hear someone talk about EHD vs. CWD
3. If only there were more "Iowas", people wouldn't have to wait 4-6 years to bow hunt here. Who is going to be the "hero" from another state?
4. IBA and Iowa Sportsmans Club are incredibly impactful.

We are very lucky to have Jace! With his youth, I hope we have him for the next 30 years!! He will be a pillar to whitetail management for decades to come.
