I didn't even know there was any other way other than nailing 2x4s to trees when I first started. At least they clean themselves up when Mother Earth reclaims them. A lot of work, but builds character so they say. :D

I've noticed this as well in the last couple years even without snow. I've just always assumed they'd choose corn over beans when given the choice. With how efficient these combines have gotten over the years I'm surprised they find anything to eat out there...need to target the crappy farmers :)
