To think keeping the same Seasons, limits and weapons is going to some how magicily improve the declining condition is the definition of insanity. What really is the risk of going to one buck.
The problem is the whole Goverment AG program need to be redone. I would like to know the cost to the taxpayer for the average acre of farmed land to the tax payer vs that same acre in Crp. With the projected subsidies being rolled out now and the crop insurance premium payments the crop acres...
I will get a list together and get some names and numbers with their permission. Not as simple as it should be, the end buyers are different for the different grades. The end user that buys the Veneer buy cut logs not trees. Most projects will only have a small percent Veneer the rest will be...
The lower population issue is the root cause for most of the issues we have. The problem is our Buck harvest has remained stable with about half the Deer numbers we had 20 years ago. This is simple math that the Buck age structure will be trend downward. If people wont consider reducing...
They will do a great job on corn residue. Need to be run lower than the guy in the video. Also a tiller set shallow will do the same thing. The one in the video is way more complicated than needed a simple 3 point one works fine
Thats a good point about destroying crops for an Insurance claim we have had to do that also . Had the field appraised then we mowed it to destroy it Crop insurance came back checked it could not be harvested they paid the Guarantee minus the 5-6 bu appraisal .
Not sure there is a signup of any kind right now. All the offices seem way behind on the work they have. Seems to me CRP of any kind is not a priority right now with this administration.
My guess is it would work great. As far as legal i would guess the same as mowing corn. Large flail mowers were pretty common one common brand was a side winder .Now seems most just run stalks down with a Turbo till or something similar.
The High fence is the nuclear option but if he is over the line with his out house and threatening then it may be time. To start with make a road or trail along the fence on your side. Then build a few 100 yards of the high fence near there stands. Then discuss them removing the stands.
Things are changing for sure in Iowa. Things like EHD are an issue but we cannot control that currently. I dont think they would be able to ban trail cameras or most of the increase in technology once people get used to using them.
Another part that seems to be missed is many of the truly big...
Unless i did the math wrong a 3 foot circle should be 9.42 sq feet. So 9.42 x 250 = 2355sq feet to be sprayed about 1/20 of an acre so your 1-1.5 gallons would be about right.
i was fishing this Summer in AK they have installed Moose high fence along the Sterling highway between Coopers Landing and Soldatna. They have dirt ramps with about a 8-10 foot drop and the fence on both side to get one out if it got in
I would support the high fence approach along highways or problem area. As far as partial high fence to deter fence from going certain neighbors I really hate to see that , but it is becoming alot more
popular . I have been involved with high fencing “ Bad neighbor” twice . It did solve the...
This is kind of random but take a solar yard light the kind that have the panel on top. Put 2-3 of these on the top of steel posts mid to late July within 30 yards of your stand along the edge of a crop bean field. The small amount of light they give out will stop the beans from maturing and...
Use a full rate of RUP we use 64oz if its 41% or 48 oz of the 53%. I would let the oats get as tall as you think you need to protect the beans but the oats are basically a weed and competition to the yeild of your beans
