Blinds are like trail cameras. The cheaper you go the shorter the life span. I have had new cheap blinds not make it thru one wind storm. The eye loops always just rip out of the blinds and then disaster sets in. Most people buy the best clothes and equipment they can afford, so why go cheap on...
Thanks to everyone who entered the giveaway promotion. Our winner was drawn yesterday and his name is Mark Evers from Southern Minnesota. Please keep an eye out as we will be continuing to give away some pretty cool stuff.
I am not far from a military base and I try to take several soldiers who have been deployed in the past. I have met some great young people from all over the country doing this and they all appreciate the heck out of the opportunity.
Today is the deadline. Get registered before Midnight for your chance to win. If you have already entered or do so today, remember you can make a post on whitetail and earn spins on our ticket wheel. Each spin can earn you extra chances in the Kansas Hunt Giveaway. Good luck...
ONLY 5 days left to enter. Deadline is this Friday April 15th 2022.
Last year we started a new Social Media site called Whitetail.com for the purpose of giving hunters a place to go, where they didn't have to worry about their pictures and posts being censored or...
I asked a question on another thread and no one attempted to answer my question. I'll ask again here.
What would you rather have, a Non-Resident Landowner getting one buck tag per year or that same Non-Resident landowner leasing his land to an outfitter who can have multiple non-residents hunt...
If you do burn that thin pasture in the next month you will be shocked at how fast it greens and thickens up. Fire is a great way to regenerate grass and wipe out some cedars at the same time.
I don’t have a dog in this fight but isn’t it ironic that a non-resident landowner in Iowa can not get a buck tag every year on his own land but can lease his ground to an outfitter, who can have multiple non-residents pay to hunt and shoot bucks on the same ground that the owner can’t shoot a...
Come down to Kansas the first week of April. We are gonna burn 12,000 acres in one day. Burning is easy when all of the neighbors are on board. It’s pretty cool to see.
My brother in law tries to find a live standing cedar with a pack rat nest in it and he will take a propane torch and put to the bottom of the nest. He keeps it at full flame until the whole tree starts to ignite and then backs off. One tree in a thick grove will burn a bunch of trees quickly...
I saw an article a few days ago that mentioned the government was destroying around 5 million chickens in Iowa chicken farms. If that transfers to wild birds it could easily hammer the Turkey population.
When you signed up, you would have checked the Hunt Entry box to complete enrollment, so you are good to go. Thanks for signing up. You might have to fight Ishi as he seemed so confident yesterday in winning, that I heard he already had his bags packed.
I had a buddy tell me just yesterday that they were selling some pastures that were too far away to effectivly take care of their cattle. He said his biggest fear was not being able to 1031 the money before the tax deadline, because there is so much competition for ground. He said he would be...
Skip gave me his blessing to post this here.
Last year we started a new Social Media site called Whitetail.com for the purpose of giving hunters a place to go, where they didn't have to worry about their pictures and posts being censored or deleted by a bunch of California Silicon Valley...
I had a talk with Kansas Wildlife and Parks yesterday. They said last year they issued 22,000 NR tags. They had 30,000 NR's apply. The lady told me they actually expect more people to apply again this year because they think people will not be traveling as much because of gas prices, so they...
That definitely opened up the canopy and will be a jungle in a few years. Mother Nature sure knows how to bring the carnage. We had one hit one of our farms years ago and it was amazing how quickly it thickened up.
