I agree with Skip's comments. I would buy right now if there was anything for sale in the area I am wanting. Seems like the counties that have high population of out of area hunter ownership always have quite a few properties for sale - I assume because those people are constantly flipping...

I bought six of the E5 models this year. 5 of them work great, one had problems with draining batteries very quickly and not holding settings. They replaced it without too much trouble. So far I am pleased with them.

Getting ready to start the cereal grain mix which "calls for" rye, oats, clover, peas, and radishes. What are thoughts on using rye and wheat instead of the oats? Thinking this would over winter better than the oats? Thoughts on skipping the oats and using rye/wheat combo?

I have several clover plots that got very weedy this year with both grass and broadleafs. Been waiting for right conditions to spray butyrac and cleth and seeing some cool temps coming in next week. Should I spray during one of those cool days or wait until fall?

Won't matter if you spray gly before or after planting. Might try burning the dead thatch ahead of time to get better seed to soil contact. Can't quite see in the picture, but looks like some of the weeds are broadleaf that are likely resistant to gly.

I have done EQIP monarch mix and shrub plantings and currently in process of applying for more on another farm. Both instances have been in Iowa. The rates I have seen are MUCH lower than Primosguy was quoted. Maybe Missouri has higher rates than Iowa?
