My rambling for today...
Groups that operate on shady info IMO...of course the forever evil Farm Bureau & a little group that carries some weight in the state house...ABATE. For some reason lawmakers listen to those yahoos. ABATE lobbies constantly for liberal hunting regs. Joined for 1 year...
Great post. IMO, It doesn't take much of a hunter to harvest a great deer in Iowa but to do it consistently takes some skill and/or some extra fine ground...
Been tough sledding at home. Mirroring everything Jay has talked about on his videos.
Like Skip, I got knocked in the dirt the last 2 weeks of October so I missed all that time, figured it was Rona and turned into bronchitis but a Z-Pak course and some albuterol and I am good as new. Started...
I was stunned to see how bad this has gotten over the past 2 years. This area does not get much residue so I am not sure I can get a good burn there. Thoughts?
I have experienced the same. I assume they are so tuned in to weather, pressure, or whatever, that they take it easy some days and feed/move more on other days. I am guessing several of us took ag classes in school and if we think back we were taught that rumens need to "relax" to digest their...
Absolutely the best take I have read. I bet most of us have volunteered time to school & rec activities so we can all appreciate everything you just posted. I better just join ISC.
What I try to emphasize now is encouraging game to move from plot to plot through the day and adding cover to the food. Just by my observations, cover improves plot utilization big time in high pressure areas. We all know that to an extent, but it is the biggest issue on my farm because we have...
IMO we need it in Iowa and soon. I certainly appreciate you Skip and have much respect for your efforts and especially your ability to bring all groups together. I am still a bit leery of the ISC but you are making me question my bias with some organizations.
I am curious, do you see an...
I like the added cover to the plots so I let it stand. I mow as low as I can about March and no till the beans. I only have a couple acres so I will mow 2-3 passes to shred everything. I am always surprised at how rapidly corn fodder breaks down.
I am reviving this thread.
Someone has been uploading them all to YouTube. It is cool to watch these and the old equipment.

Trump is a patriot, he did not need any of this. DJT was the only person with the name recognition and the money to get the presidency away from the obamites, bidophiles, and bush clowns.
No offense to you 203...like your posts on here so this is just my opinion...
If we want to ask farmers...
Awesome work! That heavy one is an absolute bully.
If you care to share, what did those end up scoring?
The pics are great as well. Enjoy this type of stuff.
