Winter wheat and winter oats work great. I planted turnips with it and they could care less. They ate the wheats and oats to the dirt. It held deer well until they ate it all

What I have seen and used is seed from the coop. They have a seed mix for hay grass. And you can buy clover by the pound. you have to buy alfalfa by the bag. And you can have them coated. I wouldn't spend all that money just to have some douche bag on the seed bag. It helps to know someone that...
