    Interseeding into forage sorghum

Depends on the rains. Maybe 12" or so. Also depends on your row spacing of course..

    Interseeding into forage sorghum

Unless you have phenomenal weed control you won’t have much bare dirt to broadcast into come fall.. That and too much canopy for much fall growth.

    Switchgrass

Look closely and take some photos. Post up here, we can help identify.

    Switchgrass

Not sure.. looks like some crabgrass or other CSGs. Can you take a closer pic at some of the more vertical / erect grasses? The red bases and faint center pin stripe typically give them away.

    Armadillo

Tons of them here in central MO. Can't stand them. They jump about 5' straight up in the air when you hit them with a rage. Or so I've heard...

    Milo

June 2nd, 2024 New year, new attempt! Brought out the big guns this year.. Previously disced in, hoping the drill gives me a better stand (more rain maybe this go around?!). This thing is built like a tank. - Spread 2.5T Ag lime / Ac + 0-75-150-20S / Ac (Winter) - Disced in 100# N / Ac...

    Interseeding into forage sorghum

YES. Grain sorghum (not forage sorghum) is what you want if whitetail FOOD is what you're looking for. As a bonus, most grain sorghum (also called milo generically) varieties are in the 4' tall range. Only WGF Sorghum / Milo is shorter (2'-3' max) and doesn't offer much cover if you want a...

    Switchgrass

What's everyone seeing height wise at the end of the first year with RC Big Rock? Hoping to get at least 3' or so on upland ground. All my second year is RWW (Alamo). End of first year I only got about 18" or so..

    Always something new...

Interesting topic.. I've played with a lot of different products and mixes over the years. I've been going the opposite now, slowly been narrowing down to what works well for me.. - Warm season: Keep clover mowed, and sorghum/soybean mix. - Cool/Fall season: radish/turnip plots +...

    Idea for bedding.

Perhaps seasonally. I wouldn't bet on it come late fall. Some type of thicker stalked Sorghum would be a better annual IMO. I've used this one before: https://alseed.com/product/viking-402-male-sterile-forage-sorghum/

    Idea for bedding.

Interesting idea, never tried it. IMO - If you let a field "go" for a full growing season, you'd be surprised how quickly it will get grown up and used for bedding in just one year. Like most of the Midwest - Patches of ragweed, foxtail, goldenrod and native grasses will explode once the cool...

    Now what?

Many options, can mow and/or spray. Can always let the rye stand and run its course, drying down and dying. Will help shade the clover. Then mow September 1st and have a clover plot for fall.

    Is this Bow Hunting?

Hate to say it, but as a MO resident its probably coming. Liberalization only works in one direction. Everyone wants a trophy..

    Caitlin Clark Olympic Team

You mean the few thousand per game? Across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and CBS, the WNBA is averaging 1.3 million viewers per game, tripling last season's average of 462,000 viewers. About 400,000 fans attended games in May, the most first-month attendees in 26 years, according to the league. Looks like...

    Caitlin Clark Olympic Team

She's white, not a lesbian and is proud of who she is and where she's from. Unlike the remaining 80% of the WNBA.. Naturally this enrages most all liberals as well. Which frankly, I enjoy.

Amen. Sad at this point how many are trying to take her out with all the assaults she's been putting up with.
