Who do you prefer, DeSantis or Trump?

I think this is spot on - Many don't vote for a candidate, but rather against a candidate - Hillary vs Trump...People HATED Hillary..... I think there are quite a few Moderate Dems that might vote DeSantis/Scott because they see Joey and Kamala are a train wreck and see what's happened with...

Who do you prefer, DeSantis or Trump?

"Corruption, deep state & the establishment that’s there to enrich eachother is our biggest problem IMO. Term limits & vote out the scum on both sides. If iowa politics has shown us anything - republicans can Stand against the people and some of them are for sale. Sick. Both sides are plagued...

    Hunting product ideas…. Random thought/business??….

A buddy of mine designed floor mats for redneck blinds, like the weathertech kind. He's been selling them thru redneck dealers. He designed, then found a manufacturer to produce and started the selling process. He says it's been interesting to learn about the process start to end. Said he'd be...

    $665

Can you elaborate, what special interests groups, what about the cwd? Are you talking insurance companies or something else? I mean there are other ways to kill more deer like more liberal harvesting allowances, more free tags, etc. Not following, can you explain more?

    $665

I was going to say that about lower standards in Missouri but refrained, even though it's true. Most of the ground around me is leased to outfitters, I get asked 4-5 times a year from guys asking if I have or know of anything available for lease. There isn't anything so guys pile into the public...

Missouri could be a top state, but regs hurt it for sure. It isn't the MDC's goal to have big deer, their goal is to provide hunting opportunities to the masses. The habitat is there, at least in the northern part of the state

    Fencing Plot

If you make it hot, make sure the ground is driven 3-4' under ground or more. Some guys even use 2 ground posts. Keep grass and weeds off the wires as much as possible. The rest of the info you can find on youtube/google for wire height, #strands, etc. Good luck!

Best Skid Steer for newbie 25K and under?

That's another good option for me, hiring it out vs buying a bigger tractor or SS. It's what I've been doing but I like to do things myself, and on my timeline, hence my thinking. I can slip a $25k purchase by the bookkeeper/sheriff (wife) without much noise, any more dollars than that and I...

Best Skid Steer for newbie 25K and under?

These experiences/comments puts things in perspective for me. I have a tractor for food plotting, spraying, moving blinds/material, so it isn't a pick one or the other for me, I just didn't want to abuse my tractor doing things I ought not do with it, especially since it's on the smaller side...

Best Skid Steer for newbie 25K and under?

These responses are what I was looking for. Skip - how much of the work described could I do with a 90hp tractor w/loader?I have this SS/CTL idea in my head after seeing what the tenant did with it. It drums up all kinds of work I could get done with it, but if a 90hp tractor would also get...

Best Skid Steer for newbie 25K and under?

I appreciate honesty. So a Case 90xt, or Bobcat S185 or similar wouldn't do what I describe very well? I don't know .... So, for the sake of argument, I double the purchase price. In my head it just means the purchase has to do even more than what I originally planned for. I'll have to work...

Best Skid Steer for newbie 25K and under?

Thinking about a skid steer/CTL. I was on one of my farms recently and the tenant had his Deere 333 out there digging up some tile and putting rock around a culvert. That thing was a beast. He had his hired man running it and the guy said this was only his 2nd day running one and he was doing...

    Foreign Currency accounts

Been thinking a lot about the debt, the dollar, the politics of our country. I dabbled in foreign currency (swiss francs and AUD) 15 years go in an HSBC account and was wondering if anyone has played with them recently? Thinking I might play with them again just to be in something other than...

    Brain damaging land Prices

Talking out loud...Here's what I'm thinking for estate planning.. Single member LLC's should have a TOD in the operating agreement to avoid probate and associated costs. Better would be to have land held in a revocable trust because TOD's are not bulletproof in case of creditors. If land is...

    Brain damaging land Prices

With an irrevocable trust, generally speaking, the grantor permanently relinquishes control of the assets placed in the trust. Therefore, an irrevocable trust can be designed so that the trust's assets are not included in the grantor's gross estate, thereby sheltering them from potential estate...

Should I stay or should I go....

Go! Since you don't need to borrow much for the ground now, buy and settle, then if rates come down, you can look for another piece and add to it. The biggest mistake man makes is thinking we have time..,.

    Brain damaging land Prices

I'm also considering a revocable trust. This would avoid probate for everything put into the trust, which I believe is a good reason in itself to do this. It doesn't avoid taxes but does avoid the cost of probate and disbursement costs of the estate which can be costly. How many of you have or...
