Same for east central. Planted a little earlier than you but things are looking fantastic. Just gonna need some water before too long. Saw some corn in the sand today that was rolled really bad.
I've only been running mineral the last year or two. I put mine in rubber feed pans so I can just remove them and not have to dig up any dirt. Has worked well as it has been fairly dry. If we started a really wet period I might have a problem with having to drain water out of them.
Iam a newbie to this and my experience is from planting them in my garage but it may still apply. My dco acorns were a toooooon slower emerging than the other oak species I planted. It was enough later I had just about given up on them.
I will look and see if dad has a manual for his. John deere has an online parts catalog that goes by section. Some of the pictures on there might give you what you are looking for.

Looks like they exist on ebay. If u need pictures we have one for a sweetcorn planter. I can get you pictures if you need them.
I and my parents have been using tempo on fruit trees when the beetles start after them. It stays for a long time unless you get a lot of rain to wash it off. Have had very good luck with it.
I would ask on the new agtalk forums. Post it under the where can I find forum. There are very resourceful guys on there. Wouldn't be surprised at all if they could locate one.
I agree, I'm growing trees from seed for the first time this year as well. I actually ordered some Chinese chestnuts on ebay this spring that were already stratified. So far 25 of the 35 have emerged and have 55 emerged oaks of several different species. Very fun and addictive.
An s185 will do a lot. Look for one with the Kubota engine. They are a great machine. If you don't end up liking it, they are an easy sell. We have one at the farm and it does everything we need it to.
I'm trying the same thing this year for the first time. It's fun enough I'm definitely going to do more next year. Considering building a small greenhouse so I don't fill up my garage counters again. I've got a variety going. I've got a bunch more in the fridge to plant outside soon in my air...
1500 is not as much an outlier as you think. My dad owns 1200 acres and my father in law owns 400. So I keep a close eye on this kind of stuff. I have no intention of ever selling any land. My livelihood depends on this land not getting sold.
What's your forecast for the weekend there? Our agronomist told us to put the brakes on planting corn or beans till next week. Supposed to get mid 30s overnight here for a couple nights and rain.
I rigged up my 2720 with a harness for john deere guidance that I use spraying. I even set it up so that it shades on the map only when the boomswitch is flipped. No autosteer but works well. This wouldn't be very budget friendly for most. I just use a globe and monitor off of one of our row...
What is your tractor? To me there is a difference in a newer 27 hp hydrostatic tractor and an older geared tractor. The older tractors were heavier compared to their horsepower. I have wondered about pulling our sweetcorn planter ( 4 row jd 7000) with my jd 2720, but would have to make adapters...
