Long shot…. I know this isn’t a normal question here but maybe miracle someone might have some ideas. Have a little bobcat… T590. I think it’s like 2011-2015 or so. I can confirm. Blew a hole in the block. ENGINE IS A V2607 Kubota engine.
Here’s the trouble…. Everyone wants a core…. Well- this block is shot. So- leaves me with buying a new or used engine. Leaning towards used as this bobcat is probably worth maybe $20k when it’s repaired. It’s a really mechanically great machine otherwise- it’s got maybe 2500 hours on it but tons of new parts. New engines are like $11k plus install…. Say it’s $2-3k to swap??? Almost value of the machine.
The obvious problem…. Can’t find used engines. This engine is pretty commonly used and in tons of machines. BUT…. My skills are limited to only searching online. Any ideas from any of u more connected to this industry or repaired things in past???? Any unique sources I should contact? We have the classic problem of limited supply right now like anything. If this was yours - what would u do? I’m not in a hurry …. Wait for a used one? Or buy new. Or sell skid steer for parts? Any help appreciated!
