I've taken two deer with a .357 mag. Both shot in the neck, one at 70 yds and the other at 20ish, and both dropped right there. Gun reportedly put one down at around 130 as well.

Sorry, been a few days since I was on. Yeah, I heard the shot, then the slug/bullet flying, then breaking branches between me and the direction of the shot (not sure it was directly at me as I never heard the slug/bullet fly directly overhead).

I came up with about 142, but I've been known to be very conservative on estimates compared to what is claimed after the kill. I'll go 6.5 just to guess older than the standard 5.5.

Could be a toss up of the cause. We had a few bucks running around a few years ago that had typical antlers on one side and just a fork on the other. Considering there were multiple bucks like that in the same year, I considered it to be genetics.

This may have been asked on here before, but just wondering how far you guys think a slug could fly if it doesn't hit anything. Same for a muzzleloader bullet. Obviously there are a lot of factors involved, but just in general. Should go without saying, but watch your backdrop!
