If you read the original post, this was a high fence hunting farm. Sounds like the DNR required all ungulates be killed before the fence could come down.

I see your point, but still think the main reason people choose gun 2 now is for 2 weekends. I still contend most (non landowners/managers) will take gun 1 given your new options. Only way to know for sure is to implement it and see what happens.

I still think this will put 90% of the gun hunters in season 1 as there is no incentive to pick season 2. That seems like it creates far more potential conflicts and safety issues.

Even better, take it back to what it was intended to be - a primitive arms season. No more scopes, no more smokeless powder. If you spend the money it is pretty much a "single shot high power rifle" season now.

That would be a big reduction in revenue - unless the price goes up significantly. I generally by 2 or 3 any sex tags each year - and 90% of the time I only fill one or zero.

What actually does "1 buck" mean? Can I only buy one any sex tag per year so I would have to pick only 1 of early muzzy, bow, gun 1, gun 2, and late muzzy? Or, I can buy 2 (or more) of these but can only fill one with a buck? I am more in favor if it is the 2nd option.

I'd love to see a new policy that any liberalization of deer regulations can't be passed unless 3 prior regulations are repealed along with it. We need to back up several steps before we add anything new.
