    Breeding activity

There used to be an old doe running around my area, and year after year she had a brand new, tiny, spotted fawn in november. That's pretty extreme, but there are definitely some odd-ball does that have their internal clock screwed up.

Muddy gave what I thought was great advice, Baby Wipes

I thought you were gonna say "You don't want to use the whole thing because it gets between you toes".

dry riverbeds are NOT public property

Here's a good map. Basically if a river isn't shown here touching the bottom would be considered trespassing. http://www.iowadnr.gov/portals/idnr/uploads/riverprograms/meanderedmap.pdf

    Deja vu

These are the first two pictures from two different sequences I had of this buck on this particular pull. I also watched him do the exact same thing on 10/27 and 11/3. I think I found a pattern. :D He ducked my arrow on 11/3 and earned the moniker Flash.

Just never know about these whitetails!!

My 1st season gun buck last year fell to 2 Hornady SSTs out of a .50 TC Encore...the one in his shoulder splintered and i picked most of it out of the shoulder blade. A "perfect shot", but I doubt if that shot alone would have killed him. Some crazy things happen, and sometimes a sure thing...

I think you might shoot out more than your eye with that thing, Muds.

    Big Buck Chuck

Kinda sounds like liver. Sometimes it can take a while to do the job, and before he dies he'll be really struggling...after this kind of shot I've watched them run 100 yards, stop, walk another 30 yards looking really sick, stop, walk another 30 yards, stop...they usually don't go very far very...

    Moving stand

Almost every setup I have involves packing in a stand when i go to sit and packing it back to the truck when I'm done. As long as you can get it done quickly and (more important) quietly, then you'll get away with it all season long. I also like what Scooter and 157buck said...the bucks will be...

    nicerack scores big

Most of the harvest pics are still on my computer, so I'll put a couple more up for Doug. I know the hunt itself was fun, but the next day was the exciting part...certainly the most exciting recovery I've ever been on. I'll let Doug fill in the blanks. Congrats again, bud! :way:

What the heck is this noise??

Sounds like a flock of turkies. I thought I heard some putting and purring in there, and the higher pitched squeel is a kee-kee. It's basically all the noises a big fall group will make to keep track of one another.

    Just curious

I've already made up my mind, but I wanted to see how old some of you think he is.
