Thanks, the co-op was telling me that status would be an option but that looks pretty expensive. My guess is I have a good month before I need to put something on at this point.
So I planted my 2 acres of corn this weekend in between rains and was planning to put some pre-emergent down, while emptying my sprayer the nozzle to the tank cracked. So I'm DOA on the pre emergent (atrazine). I won't be back to the property for a few weeks most likely, is there something I can...
For those of you putting down 2,4D for burn down, don't you worry about the plant back time or not? I'm kind of a chicken sh*t so I don't usually take any chances on that kind of stuff.
The best channel I know of for habitat junkies and how-to information is-
"Purpose filled habitat"
Hardwoods, softwoods, swamps, switchgrass, old field management, stand set up and strategy, invasive control, his channel has it all.
Thanks Jake, I think a reduced overall yield is acceptable as long as the deer leave them alone during the summer months. Part of what Tony said that had me curious was he made it sound like the grain conference he went to in Louisville almost made it seem like he was getting higher yields, and...

Some questions that came to mind after he said 70% beans, 30% corn...What rates? What fertilizer? What herbicide?
I find the high oil corn pretty interesting too, I have heard Don Higgins talk about...
Snow and cold is always beans due to the higher protein percentage is what I've always figured. No snow and I've always seen them concentrate on the carbs with the corn.
I've got the granular version of atrazine, all the information I can find states 1lb of granular is equal to 1 qt of the liquid version. Does anyone have experience with the granular? Farmer told me they use a lesser rate for their corn spraying but they don't have any experience spraying...
I've had enlist beans on a few different properties and the deer always find them, especially in late December into February. Never had a problem with them lasting beyond that.
I'm not sure I follow. It won't all start at the same time unless it has a higher soft seed %. I've never seen great numbers from RW seed tags.
Either way I don't know how it relates to the part of my previous post that you quoted.
Yes, in the 200 series area where my land is, you get one either/or tag for the license fee of $28 and can buy one "bonus" antlerless tag for $15. So I can shoot two deer in my area no matter the weapon. If I don't fill my tags with archery I have to buy another license to gun hunt and then...
