How long ago were they seeded? Did you do the soil prep/fertilizing, and seeding on same day? Or was the soil prepped sometime in advance?

I know the guy..... No bloom, ever. And there's lots of other fruit trees in the immediate vicinity that do bloom and produce good fruit. I think the problem may be these are all the same variety....and you usually need a mixed variety for successful cross-pollination.

Wouldn't atrazine or (if unavailable) Simazine be better choices as EW herbicide? If EW has already emerged.....not sure if they can still be used but I'm thinking yes.

Insecticide component of whatever fruit tree spray you're using should nuke them....no diff if they're ants or aphids.

I had a white hen like that around my place for years....about 10 years ago. Was neat, not only because of her unusual color but also b/c she was so easy to identify. Was amazing how far she traveled. She was boss hen for a number of years and her range was easily several miles.
