Kaare, I passed on a buck with a double main beam and a double throat patch in 2007. Then a hunter from Alabama killed him during gun season...I still regret not shooting him, as he would have made a beautiful mount with that cape. Congrats.

It's crazy, but it seems those mega-giants with that mass have weak spots in their main beams. You'd think it would take a collision with a train to break something like that, but I've seen a number of times. You bet, I'd walk every square inch of that area trying to find that. Heck, it would...

Looks like they are bedding in some nasty thick brush...could be tough finding their sheds, but good luck.
