Sawtooth oak?
Does anyone have first-hand experience with these?
The leaf appears to be the same as a Shingle Oak, not sure if there's a difference?
Main advantage I see is a quick production of nuts but not sure how they will do here in Iowa
So embarking down a few year journey of a very landscape changing project.
Full disclosure My farmer friends would 100% disagree with what I am doing!
Reason for post is looking for ideas to build on.
Here is the basic parameters.
This is a project on which I live. Our intention is to live...
I have run the same planterfor a # of Years. JD7000. The weight being to light can be a problem on hard dry years
or a late planting.
To compensate I added prob 15 sticks of 1 1/4 rebar inside the tube. Had a buddy who had it on hand and worked very good for adding dead weight all the way...

Need some controversy here. I have had many farms with tons of honey suckle, multifloral rose, etc....
I AM NOT A FORESTOR!
I fully understand the desire to eradicate. (Mainly the multifloral) I am an advocate of the honeysuckle. IMO (very easy to remove if need to)
