All jokes aside, some of the biggest deer in the state are in the Des Moines city limits. I have seen a few that are pushing 200".

There are some that are a lot bigger than that over there. I used to live over there and had an ag field behind my house. You guys would be amazed at some of the deer in that area.

My vote would be for a muzzleloader. Extend your range and it is fun to develop a load. Not to mention the possibility of hunting different seasons.

I would anticipate there being a lot of nice bucks that made it through the winter, which should make things interesting next fall.

I have the 440 and really like it, as stated it has always been enough range for me. It seems to do a good job at picking a target through the brush.
