    Favorite broadheads??

I shoot 100gr Spitfires. I have heard a lot of guys complain about the Spitfire's failure to open on impact, I personally have never had that happen. I have taken my last 5 deer with the Spitfire's and always had a pass-through and always had a 3-cut exit wound . 4 of the 5 deer taken with...

    Shopping for a Bow

cb....if you can get an Outback in the low to mid 600.00's you're doing really well. I don't know how much you shoot, but the Zebra String Curse will get you sooner or later... depending how many arrows you put through your bow after you get it. I own an Outback....love it! The string set it...

    4 Wheeler?

I had a Polaris Sportsman 500 a year ago and traded into the bigger 700 twin this year. I have nothing but good things to say about the polaris quads that I have owned. I guess it all depends on how much you want to spend. you can get a used quad for under $4000.00 that will haul all the dead...

    Check Stations for Iowa

I would have no problems taking my deer to a check station, but I agree with those of you that say it really wouldn't make much of a difference.

[ QUOTE ] DLO, You cannot magnify through mirage while glassing miles. Such as haze or a real muggy afternoon. The stronger the lens, the more it pics up. [/ QUOTE ] The objective lens is resonsible for the brightness and the resolution of the image you see. Mirage is an atmospheric...

    Whats your fletching setup?

6 in. white wrap with 4 in white vanes. This year was the first time I used that much white. I was amazed when I let the arrow go on my deer this year, how well I could see the arrow..... from release to impact.

Question for any Pro. Photographers out there...

Santa's bringing my wife a Nikon D70 with an AF-S Nikkor 18-70mm and an AF Nikkor 70-300mm telephoto lens and a Bogen tripod. She has always been into "snapping" pictures but I'm thinking this set-up will bring that to a new level. We are both interested in nature photography and both willing...

The bigger the objective lens, the brighter the image...The brighter the image, the more detail afforded at higher maginification. I'd go with the 80mm lens for sure. If you're spending that sort of $ on a scope, get all you can. I'm going with the ATS 20-60X80 HD. The angled configuration...

    Any Sioux City archers here?

I understand your displeasure with Scheels. The arrow building there is left to the guys in the bike dept. belive it or not I'm a Mathews shooter so I don't have a choice when it comes to WHERE to buy. SLS is a great place to hang out.... if you can stand the smoke The service there is...

    Any Sioux City archers here?

ID, I'm from Sioux City. I do the bow work myself, unless a press is required. Sioux Land Sports(712-234-0028) on Nebraska is a good pro shop. They sell Bow Tech and Martin but will service about anything. Brair and Bow (405 Pearl St. 712-255-5132) is another pro shop that you could check...
