Currently using the outdoor edge swing blade. As mentioned above, the gut hook is very nice. Be careful using the havalon knives as several people cut themselves.
Been using the monarch 800 for years and no complaints. Brother has a Leica and really like the red readings in low light which are easier to see than the black.
Been using this release last two years and really like it. Less play than the truball hurricane I had been using but it had several shots through it. One of main reasons I switched was for the buckle instead of the Velcro. Much quieter when putting it on after packing in and setting up stand for...
Congrats! Sounds like a great trip for everyone. Neat character on the one buck and like that tank pic.
I'm headed that direction myself in 35 days for a DIY hunt. Antelope sure are fun to hunt especially in WY where there always seems to be another one over the next hill.
This jake and his buddy came strolling thru Saturday around 9:00. I made the shot at 12 yards and he only went about 20 yards as the hammerhead had done its job. Was setup by 5:30 and there were no gobbles within 1/2 mile on the public ground. There were a few hen yelps closer but that was it...
Check out the WY game and fish website. Link below has draw odds about half way down. Hope to draw a tag myself this year!

For some reason I cannot post replies from the iPad anymore. Checked the settings and don't see anything to change that might help. The "send" button is grayed out. Anyone else have this problem?
Sent from my iPad using IW
I will throw out jakhammers! Been using them for several years without fail. Also carry around four blade buzz cuts.
As others have said, check out the ulmer edge. A friends brother and his hunting buddy (has super slam) are hardcore bowhunters from Alaska. They used the ulmer edge this year on...
Dang! Little late on this post. Jay, do you have any similar knives for sale? Thinking one would be a nice gift for my buddy in CO who is putting me up on an upcoming elk hunt. Would have sent a PM but cannot figure that out on the iPad. Thanks!
My brother has killed several deer with the 2 blade rage all of which didn't go far. He shoots 60 pounds. That being said, I am still using the wasp jakhammers with great success. Go with what you have confidence in and take out the lungs!
Has anyone used the badlands water bladder for their 2200? What about other brands like platypus? Plan to use out west on elk hunt so am looking for a hands free device. Thanks for any input.
