To Loop or Not to Loop... That is the ????

Switched to a loop about 5 years ago and I've never had a problem. My current loop is at least 2 years old. Tim

    Crossbow Survey

Like everything nowadays, it comes down to $$. The manufacturers tried to get them in our archery season here in MI a couple years ago. They ended up settling for making them legal during gun season. They were already legal for the disabled to use during archery season and they still are. If...

    Gotta love this rain!

We just had 2100 trees planted last week so I've been watching the RADAR the last few days with great interest. As long as it doesn't get as wet as last spring. We have a food plot that my neighbor, who plants for us, calls the Mississippi Delta. Tim

    Carbon suits..Do they work???

Leftler168, the instrumentation that Nonres is talking about is used in the environmental field for VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) analysis. There are a couple different techniques used, one is called Purge and Trap and the other is done using a Headspace unit. Both methods use a carbon packed...

DOR, the $10 for a preference point is only going to lower your odds even more in the future. Every Tom, [censored], and Harry will have a point now. I was talking to a guy I work with yesterday and he's going to get himself a point. He's never even mentioned hunting IA but why not get a...

We had the same problem last year. We wanted to put food plots on some of our CRP ground. Our CRP is 10-15 year old brome grass. We thought we could just mow it and then disc it but we found out how tuff the root sytem for brome is. We also found out that very few of our neighbors turn their...

    Legislative Meeting

Hcsafari, I put in for zone 4. I ended up buying a left over ML only tag. I also know most of the left-over tags got bought up. I called every couple weeks to see what was left. The best I can remember, by the time season rolled around the only tags left were ML. Those might have sold out...

    Pine or Cedar?

If you're planting trees for cover don't plant white pine. Pines lose their lower branches once they mature. I would plant Norway Spruce for cover. Norway Spruce grow fast and deer browse is low. Cedar's grow much slower but I would still plant some of them as well. Tim

    35% NR Cap Poll

Fishbonker, read some of the posts above. About half the posts mention NR's and their harvest. A lot of guys are concerned that more big bucks will be harvested. I agree with you that a lot of residents are also concerned about finding a place to hunt. Tim
