I build stands with skids for my shadow hunters. I put them at 6 ft. I like that height for multiple reasons but the 2 main ones are you can shoot both close and far range shots while sitting, also being as mine are portable I'm able to keep them from being too top heavy when moving.

They are a little pricey but shadow hunter sells some that have worked well for me.

My family and another are headed to Bowstring in mid August! I hope the fishing is good!

You will be fine as far as timing goes. I believe you need only 60 minutes of dry before a rain when applying gly. You also can use a harrow after broadcasting your beans. You my not get 100% of germination but for a food plot it will definitely work. If you end up with some bare spots you can...
