Not where I'm hunting. Hunted this morning and didnt see a single deer. Pulled my camera card today and every single Buck was coming through at night and only 1 day picture of a doe. Im thinking the only doe left in the woods. Trying a new farm in the morning. Never seen it or been there...

My prediction is Im going to sit in a tree in a historically productive area and not see much. Hopefully the deer prove me wrong, but this season has been seriously messed up for me. Im gonna hunt it out though.

They don't spook in the dark Cuz they know the regs. You can't shoot them in the dark. Only southern Iowa deer spook at night, cuz they get shot at 24/7. :-)

Go in with it dark. I've actually had deer come over to check me out and not spook. Like within 10 yards and just turn and walk away.

I hunted all day in Jefferson county. Only deer I seen in the morning were in the field when I parked my truck. Then 3 does the last 15 minutes of shooting light. Im thinking tomorrow with the warm weather are just going to be early and late hunts. Save my energy for the weather on Sunday...

Just bought a new mellinenium M-50 today and man is that thing easy to hang. Love the came mount system on that thing. Big comfy seat and large platform. Muddy or Lonewolf sticks complete that setup. You can buy additional came mounts for multiple trees and carry the stand and have it...

Most everything I need stays in the truck until I shoot one. Only thing I keep in the house is my baselayers, jeans, and boots (which stay out on the deck). All other clothes are kept in a tub in the truck along with my bow and all my hunting accessories. I have a pretty good system so...

Mine stopped walking off when I didn't leave them a way up the tree. Pull the steps and don't leave a ladder. Ya it takes a couple extra minutes to get in the tree, but when you walk into the woods there is a 99% chance your stand will be there when you get to the tree. Sorry, that sucks....

I have access to a farm that we haven't been hunting due to cattle in the timber. With the rut here would it be something I should spend some time in this weekend or would it still suck. Trail cams are showing some does, small bucks, and lots of cows. Haven't had one shooter Buck on came yet...
