I also have seen this video on t.v and if I can remember right the deer had two broken legs and had no chance to outrun the bear so thats why it tried to escape to the water.
I read the article and believe that in certain high deer crossing areas some type of high fences are needed just aslong as the deer have some safe place to cross. I dont believe that 8 foot fences need to be erected through out Iowa's interstate where deer collisions are low just in high...
Those pictures remind me why hunters need to make sure what they are shooting at is what they are after. Too often people make the mistake of shoot first and look later and hunters should always use caution with any type of weapon. Safety always comes first!!!!
