    Deer Reacting to Cell Cams

The smell of messing with a camera I believe is WAY more educational to all deer. Tried gloves, spray, driving to them etc. See it every time. The antennas, clicks, big external power, etc. associated with cell cams could be more of the problem than the electro energy? Seems pre-mature...

    Miscanthus x Gianteus

Any of you fertilized it? Have several great stands I’ve never touched, but one that’s in heavy clay and is filled out but seems to be lacking on height compared to others

    Deer Reacting to Cell Cams

In this example, the guy I'm referencing uses exclusively Reconyx. Made me wonder if it might vary brand to brand because I've never noticed the issue but only have one Reconyx cell.

    Deer Reacting to Cell Cams

Earlier this week I was lucky enough to attend a private seminar that a very well known whitetail figure did for a local hunt club he has been consulting on properties for recently. Overall most of it was basic info that a lot of us have heard and already know, but when the topic of cameras...

Tell me why we should shoot more does

Very solid thread. The too many doe thing is so property dependent. Most of the time it's just an excuse someone gives to kill stuff but there are no doubt high end farms that need it kept in check. Regarding the fewer top bucks topic I have some first hand unique experience I'll try to be...

This is cool!!! Would love some but have never seen one in person that I know of. Do they hold their leaves into winter or are they more like a Burr?

    Clover

No you're good. One of the best ways to establish clover is to mix it into your fall seed mix.

    Screen question

It's getting late. With good soil, some N, and rain it could get 4-7ft. I'd plant a wider than usual strip of it. No doubt of all the annual screens out there, most are junk, but the HD from John is definitely the best

Getting my mind off politics...Hunting bikes.

After hearing some reputable reviews I bought a Rad Rover 2 years ago when they went on sale. Cost around $1K at the time. It's rear drive but I live in eastern Illinois so hills arent much of an issue. I have beat the absolute crap out of it and it still rips to this day. I load it down way...

    Sprayer Recommendations

You really get what you pay for with this stuff. It stings, but you'll thank yourself years down the road. I'm sure this is highly debatable but I'd consider something with a boom depending on the scale & type of spraying you're doing. A lot more precision, less drift, and it wont limit...

Quick weekend trip to the future in-laws in West Michigan. Limited to a kayak, but landing several smallmouth and a couple coho's from it was a riot!

    Poults

Never seen a poult in my life until last year. There just arent many turkeys here. Now there have been baby turkeys two years in a row. I think she's nesting in the native grasses I've established. Have waged war on coons and coyotes the last two years too. Pretty awesome to see!!
