    Shotgun hunting observation

My group of 10/11 is pretty much all young guys except 3 of us that have been in the group and on the same properties for over 30 years. The rest of the group is younger guys all with young boys from 5-12 years old. All of which tagged along at some point this year. 3 of the older ones shot...

    Any cuddeback experts on here?

Is this the right lens? For 2$ I might try some. Still have some old J and G series cams. https://uoutdoors1.com/store/fresnel-lens-center-angle-model-9004?srsltid=AfmBOorLVBSep0hhBU9EXrD9HCPuh2RKGCnBTIIPpAbWSNK_48kuU7U3

    Deer #’s down statewide???

By what I observed from the stand this fall I would say down a fair amount. Very low number of sightings of mature deer (bucks and does) period. Very disappointing season for me personally. Know of one suspected EHD from neighbor but I'm assuming there are a lot more. I would say its decreased...

    Late Season question

I fight this all the time. I've tried using an app on my phone with coyote howls. Seems to just draw their attention to the blind more. I might try the bluetooth speaker idea. I'm sure the wife won't mind if I "borrow" hers.

    Goals

Its hard for me to pass a deer of that caliber now matter the age. It blows my mind the number of nice deer with great potential or already there that we've had on camera year after year that never show back up and just flat disappear. I have lots of years worth of files I look back on every now...

    Any cuddeback experts on here?

I’ve had that on the old AA j cams after using a rechargeable battering. The springs get pushed down. I had to rig up something to stretch springs back out and then they worked fine.

    Brassicas

Noticed the same thing last weekend. Best plots I think we've ever had just no damn deer to eat them.

Thoughts on deer prospects this year?

Here are my approximate numbers I've been keeping track of this year. Unfortunately I haven't had many opportunities to sit this year and seems like when I have its a stupid SE wind. South Central Iowa Marion/Lucas counties on traditionally pretty solid farms. - 4 separate farms and I'm sure...

    Rut Report

Haven't been able to get out a lot but when I have it's been slow slow slow. Haven't seen a mature buck yet, few dinks, and few does. I've had one good sit where I seen over 10 deer the rest have been painfully miserable.

    What's next for Republicans?

Watched some Fox News last night ripping on the lib celebrities threatening to leave the county and the epic meltdown within the California libs. Someone should start a go fund me page to help pay for these idiot clueless peoples departure.....

    Food Plots - Eye Opening

I personally had 0 success with turnip/raddish plots until we started fencing them. Granted they were mostly 1/4 to 1/2 acre plots and not multiple acres but they were eaten off to bare dirt every time. Fenced in a couple and had great success.
