Thanks for the info. That is a bad deal.
Our site is going to take a cut to get to finish floor grade so our poles should be set in undisturbed soil. I have also looked into wet setting pole brackets into the slab.
That is what our research has shown. Definitely plan on spray foam. Thanks for you input !!!
Planning on something like this. Living space and shop combined. We will live in our RV inside the shop area while we finish the living space.
You are probably very close to my ground. My neighbor who has lived there 45 years has told me the same thing. I have never hunted our place. My wife and I plan to move there when we retire. I hope doing away with the rifle season helps re-establish the doe numbers.
I have some ground in Southwest Davis county. I have not been able to get up there lately. I know our deer herd in that area suffered from the drought last year. If you live or hunt in that area I would like to hear how the hunting was so far this season.
Dave is correct and is greatly reducing his chances for a tree stand accident.
My wife and I are IBEP Bowhunter Education and Tree Stand safety instructors here in Texas. I feel that the tree stand safety portion of our course is one of the most important parts of the class. I hope this...
This is what we are going to do. Thanks !!!
This Texan is posting from 44th St. SE in Cedar Rapids tonight. We are headed down to our place in Davis county tomorrow. Where is the best place between CR and Bloomfield to pick up a couple of bags of corn?
Thanks guys.
Dave. You know our place. I am going to place one camera on east side of the creek in the woods and one on the west side which is more open. Should I just scatter a bag of corn at each trailcam site.
We have a small farm in SE Iowa. We live in Texas and hope to retire on our place in Iowa.
A friend and his son (Iowa residents) are going to hunt our ground this season. We are going up this weekend to set out a couple of trailcams. If I put out some minerals at the trail cam locations does...
Lost my cell phone on a U.S. Fish & Wildlife Refuge deer hunt here in Texas. A hunter found it two years later and turned it in to the refuge office. The pasture where I lost the phone had burned since I lost the phone. Phone was pretty well trashed, but the SIM card was still good.
Thank God you were tethered. I am a TMA certified treestand safety instructor. I get accident reports from TMA on a regular basis. There are way too many guys getting hurt and dead because they do not take treestand safety seriously.
If you dont mind I would like to use your story in my next...
My wife is using the Slick Trick Razor Tricks 100 gr. The Razor Trick is a cut on contact head. She is shooting 41 lbs. She has gotten pass thrus on deer and hogs.:way:
