In my opinion killing mature bucks isn't hard enough and manipulating deer movement makes it that much easier..Technology, manipulating deer movement, etc are some of the reasons why old, giants are very rare today.

I think a well spoken female hunter would help a lot at the capital. Some of the lawmakers would listen close to a well spoken female who knows her stuff.

I agree. This needs to be enforced..it's out of control now near me.

I could have made it yesterday but didn't know about it..Do we know when we need to be at the capital next? Knowing the dates in advance will help a lot of hunters make it for the next round. Or do these all just pop up spur of the moment with no notice?

Just ban all in season feed/bait. Make it clear cut and solid on the rules. Too many people cheat and hunt over bait in season! The pull of bait piles in season is huge, and I see it by neighbors who bait near me.

Great job..The way you break down the bad bills clearly and concisely is a big help for lawmakers to understand..Iowa hunters are lucky to have you fighting for them.

What would deer hunters like to see changed for the upcoming deer season? Be realistic. My realistic hopes are that all in season bait and supplements are banned. Too many hunters skirt the current law now and it gives an unfair advantage to them. I would also like to see Iowa go to a one buck...

I'm not sure how drone surveys or drone recoveries are legally done? Drones are required to remain within line of sight, so unless they are on a high point how do they keep the drone in sight? Even on a high point, I doubt that it could be legally done with the line of sight regulation.

So many things are wrong with this season. A couple of big ones are shed bucks and poachers. A small % of hunters will see a giant and shoot him with their high powered rifle in this season. Not to mention in many areas the population is way down. Iowa gets a lot of things right, but this season...

Skip, what is your view on selling a very small number of these tags(5-10) and using the proceeds to buy more public land? I'm betting some guys would pay $50-100k for a tag. I have no dog in the fight and do not like these tags, but it could go toward something positive. I know they go to...

Definitely get black flash and a good camo pattern..maybe Browning dark ops would work but I've had reliability issues and nighttime blur with them. Reconyx is great and I have 6-7. The problem with reconyx is they are not real small and the camo isn't the best. Plus the expense of reconyx.
