I do agree with asking "why" do I need that much gun? Compare it to your bow. Most of my stands are set up for shot under 20 yards. Most of my bow kills are deer that were under 20 yards. But, I shot a couple at over 20 yards. A bow kill at 40 yards is almost the same as comparing a gun...

Yes, that is the reason I would go with a .45 cal GUN (not bullet)! Shooting .40 or .357 or other single projectile bullets in them with sabots is a legal option with them. I have taken more than one with Barnes .40 195 grain using sabots. I guess I should have added that .40 or other sub cal...
