Even with as dry as our year was, I had a really good survival rate in areas where the grass and weeds didn't overgrown the saplings. I'll have to wait till spring to see how the saplings faired in the weedy areas.

I'm impressed with these ERC's so far. The visible ones did put on an inch or more of new growth since planting. I'm optimistic about the growth I get over the next few years.

Anyone know of any other source for cheaper red cedars? NCR is sold out already, so is state nursery. Looks like I might be transplanting this spring

They did sell out of these last year. They charge a handling and shipping fee but still a decent price in my opinion. That is unless you are doing a small quantity.

how big are these? I move hundreds every year by hand, but maybe need thousands now.
