    Question about ATV mowers

    Re: Question about ATM mowers I had the Swisher 44" rough cut also and it did a good job. Worked well on clover, grass, and brush. I've since bought a tractor and rotary mower and its handier, but the Swisher is pretty decent. Never had a problem with tires despite many thorns sticking out of...

    Poison Ivy Prevention/Treatment

    Poison Ivy is evil stuff. I've had it bad dozens of times and have lost track of trips to the ER. 11/05/04 my wife was in labor with our daughter and I was at the other end of the hospital in the ER getting treated for the ivy (which I got deer hunting of course). Nurses kept coming into the...

    Black adhesive foam

    Go to Wally World and the craft section should have "Foamies", which are 8"x10" sheets of 2mm adhesive backed neoprene. They are only about $.50 a sheet, come in multiple colors, and work great for silencing stuff. Cuts easily with sissors or Exacto knife.

    Good Drop Away rest

    Another vote for the Trophy Taker full containment. Very quiet and there is no way your arrow is ever going to fall out. Mine is the side load, which doesnt bother me at all, but I'd probably get the top load if I bought another.

    Sorry to hear about Bo. I'm in a similar situation, an 11.5 yr old lab and a 3.5 yr old daughter. Its gonna get ugly one of these days. Pups are good medicine.

Clear road for a mile then packed ice 1"-2" thick that reminds you of a dirt road. Westbound is worse than eastbound. If...

    Camera choice for homebrew, new models?

    No, the 600 doesnt need a snorkel to fit in a 1040. Not having to buy on Ebay would be a nice advantage to the Nikon though.

    Camera choice for homebrew, new models?

    I have 3 Sony S600's and the 2 I checked today have 4,000 and 5,500 pics taken so far with no problems on the zoom lens (knock on wood), so that part doesnt bother me much. I doubt they would beat the 600 in flash range and price sounds about the same. Sell me on the Nikons, where would they...

    Corn and beans in same food plot?

    Follow up question... It seems logical that the corn would reduce the growth and yield of the beans, but does adding beans impact the yield of corn? Other than moisture competition, it seems the corn would soon overtake the beans and be unaffected. I'm just looking to take some early pressure...

    Hunting quality;

    Human pressure is a weird thing. In some cases it is a big problem and in others it doesnt seem to matter much, I think it is what the deer become used to. For example, my uncle used to live on about 20 acres in Marshall county along the river. It was a rural area where there was about 8-10...

    Speaking of Farm Bureau

    After 10 years with them I finally got tired of hearing FB's name attached to every crappy piece of deer legislation that came along. I dumped them and told my agent why. Ended up saving some $$ too. Not sure my current co (AllState) is any better, but at least they dont brag about using my...
