Black adhesive foam

I am in the midst of setting up the Vectrix for next fall. One of the things I had on one of my former bows (that I bought used) was some flexible thin black foam. This foam covering had been applied to the complete riser shelf and trimmed for a nice clean look but also very quiet no matter where my arrow happened to contact the riser shelf. Does anyone know what I am talking about and if so where to get ahold of such material ??

This foam was probably no more than 1/8" or less.

Sounds like the stuff you put on bed rails of a pickup when you put a topper on. If it is the same stuff, you should be able to pick it up at any auto parts store.

This stuff here is real thin and tight. The pic makes it look loose any fluffy but it's not. Good stuff.

Camo Fleece

Never used this stuff but I'm sure it's similar. Might have to try some myself. Always looking for something better.

Silence-ilator Pad

If you need some let me know and I can get you some...

Justin:

It's the second link you posted. That's the stuff. Pretty thin but enough rubber charactistic to negate the sound of shaft contact with the shelf. I liked it more than mole skin since it seemed a little more waterproof.

Thanks

Go to Wally World and the craft section should have "Foamies", which are 8"x10" sheets of 2mm adhesive backed neoprene. They are only about $.50 a sheet, come in multiple colors, and work great for silencing stuff. Cuts easily with sissors or Exacto knife.

BWJ, This is the same stuff I use. Pretty much exactly what Timberpig said. I like it.
